What every club gets

Everything on one page. All of it free.

A link page lists where to find you. A club site tells people what you do, when you meet and how to join, and it shows up when someone searches for a club like yours.

  1. Events with RSVPs

Members see what's next and tap to say they're coming. They can add your calendar to their phone.

  2. A photo gallery

Albums for race day, socials and season wrap-ups, with a full-screen viewer that works on phones.

  3. A sign-up form that asks your questions

New members join right from the page. Add questions of your own, like their level or shirt size, and see every answer in a member list you can download.

  4. Newsletters to members

Send up to four emails a month to your members. Unsubscribes are handled for you.

  5. An organizer panel

All your organizers can edit text, add events, upload photos and email members. No tech skills needed.

  6. A design made for you

Pick a starting look and go live today. Then Frank designs a site just for your club, free.

Ready-made designs, free. Click around.

Each design comes with a sample club. The clubs are made up, but everything on their sites works: the events, the photo albums and the sign-up forms. Pick one to start with: Frank then designs a site just for your club, free.

  3. Night Ride design

    Night Riders

A Tuesday-night bike ride: the next ride on a ticket up top, a lineup you tap to join, route cards and albums from the rides.

    Visit night-riders.somerville.club

    Spring Hill Garden Club

Workdays and potlucks as seed-packet cards, a plot map with a waitlist, and a scrapbook of the season.

    Visit spring-hill-garden.somerville.club
  5. Margins design

    Ball Square Slow Readers

A book club: meetings listed like a table of contents, albums as index cards, and a join form that reads like a library card.

    Visit slow-readers.somerville.club

    Magoun Game Night

Board games and pub trivia: game nights as colored game boxes tagged by kind of game, and photos from the tournaments.

    Winter Hill Bakers

Home bakers and a pot of coffee: bake days on a café menu board, albums in arched windows, and a recipe-card join form.

    Prospect Hill Card Club

Euchre, bridge and a monthly pub quiz: card nights dealt as playing cards, the next game on a poker chip, and a join form on the back of a card.

Frank Yang, founder of PageTend, smiling in a Red Sox cap in the autumn woods

Who's behind this?

Hi, I'm Frank. I just moved to Somerville.

I'm the founder of PageTend.com. We build and run websites for small businesses.

When I got here, I was excited to see how many social clubs this town has. There's even a Fermentation Club!

But I also noticed that few of them have a real website. Most rely on an Instagram account and a Linktree page.

Building websites is what I do, so this is how I want to help the community: a free website for clubs in Somerville and Cambridge.

In another life, I'm also a wedding photographer. If your club has an event coming up and you'd like professional photos, ping me. I'll cover your event for free.

Does your club need something you don't see on this page? Tell me at frank@pagetend.com. I read and answer every email myself.

Questions

Good to know.

Is it really free?

Yep, really. Every club with up to 500 members gets a website designed just for them, at no cost. All we ask is that you leave the little "Free club website by PageTend" credit in the footer.

Who runs camberville.club?

PageTend, a company that builds websites for local businesses. We're not the City of Somerville or the City of Cambridge, though we do love the place.

So why free? Running a website costs real money, and we're happy to cover it for our neighbors. Your club's site runs on the same platform we built for PageTend, which keeps it light on our end. We love the clubs in our town, and it's a nice way for people to hear about us.

Do we have to give up our Instagram?

Not at all. Your site links to it, and you can put your new address in your bio.

Do we have to wait for our site?

Nope! Pick a starting look and you're live in about a minute, so you can share the link today.

Then Frank designs a site just for your club and swaps it in. Your events, photos and members come along for the ride.

What if we outgrow it?

Great problem to have! Over 500 members, or need something special? Contact us and we'll work it out together.

Create your club

Your club deserves a party page.

Claim your address now. It takes two minutes, and your site goes live the moment you confirm your email.

  • Same name, different town.chess.camberville.club and a chess club in another town can be two different clubs.
  • Designed by a person.Start with a ready-made look today. Frank then designs a site just for your club.
  • Your own domain, too.Have an address like sunriserun.org? We'll point it at your site, free.

Name rules: 3 to 30 letters, numbers or hyphens, starting and ending with a letter or number. A few names like www, admin, mail and help are kept for the site itself.
