What every club gets

Everything on one page. All of it free.

A link page lists where to find you. A club site tells people what you do, when you meet and how to join, and it shows up when someone searches for a club like yours.

  1. Designed for you, not a template

We build your page around your club's look and story, then make one round of changes with you.

  2. Events with RSVPs

Members see what's next and tap to say they're coming. They can add your calendar to their phone.

  3. A photo gallery

Albums for race day, socials and season wrap-ups, with a full-screen viewer that works on phones.

  4. A sign-up form

New members join right from the page. You get a tidy member list you can download any time.

  5. Newsletters to members

Send up to four emails a month to your members. Unsubscribes are handled for you.

  6. An organizer panel

Two organizers can edit text, add events, upload photos and email members. No tech skills needed.

How it works

From a name to a finished site.

You do the first two steps in about two minutes. We do the design.

  1. 01You

    Claim your address

Type your club's name and see right away if it's free.

  2. 02You

    Confirm your email

Tell us about your club and click the link we send. The address is yours.

  3. 03Us

    Coming soon goes up

Your address shows a coming soon page right away, so you can share it today.

  4. 04Us, then you

    We design, you run it

We build your site and make one round of changes. Then your organizers take it from there.

New: the Club Board

Want a club that doesn't exist yet? Pitch it. Find your people.

Post the club you wish existed. When two more people say I'm in!, it's ready to start, with a free website.

No pitches yet. Yours could be the first.

A sunrise swim, a board game night, a sourdough swap: if you'd go, someone in Camberville would too. Pitch it and see who says I'm in.

Frank Yang, founder of PageTend

Who's behind this?

Hi, I'm Frank. I just moved to Somerville.

I'm the founder of PageTend.com. We build and run websites for small businesses.

When I got here, I was excited to see how many social clubs this town has. There's even a Fermentation Club!

But I also noticed that few of them have a real website. Most rely on an Instagram account and a Linktree page.

Building websites is what I do, so this is how I want to help the community: a free website for clubs in Somerville and Cambridge.

In another life, I'm also a wedding photographer. If your club has an event coming up and you'd like professional photos, ping me. I'll cover your event for free.

Does your club need something you don't see on this page? Tell me at frank@pagetend.com. I read and answer every email myself.

Create your club

Claim your address.

It takes two minutes. We'll email you when your site is ready to look at.

  • Same name, different town.chess.camberville.club and a chess club in another town can be two different clubs.
  • Reviewed by a person.Every club is checked before its site goes live, which keeps spam off the address.
  • Your own domain later.Upgrade any time and use your own address, like sunriserun.org.

Name rules: 3 to 30 letters, numbers or hyphens, starting and ending with a letter or number. A few names like www, admin, mail and help are kept for the site itself.

Step 1 of 2: pick your address

Questions

Good to know.

Is it really free?

Yes. Clubs up to 100 members get the full site, designed for them, at no cost. We ask for one thing in return: a small "Free club website by PageTend" credit in the footer.

Who runs camberville.club?

PageTend, a small company that builds websites for local businesses. It is not run by the City of Somerville or the City of Cambridge. We give clubs free sites because we love the clubs in our town, and because it's a nice way for people to hear about us.

Do we have to give up our Instagram?

No. Your site links to it, and you can put your new address in your bio.

Why does my page say "coming soon"?

A person looks at every new club before its site goes live, and we design each one by hand. You can share the address in the meantime.

What if we outgrow it?

Move to Club Plus whenever you like. Your site, members and photos stay right where they are.
